Big opportunity missed
Honestly don’t remember fab making a single save all game. They are one very lucky team seemed every deflection half clearance seemed to fall to them.
We had sone very big chances
Thought Antonio and kehrer both played very well and were probably the stand outs, Bowen and rice both seem to still be off colour especially Bowen who had a couple of great chances. Soucek nicked his goal but for me was not getting in the box enough, if he’s not scoring over 10 goals the negatives far out weigh the positives in his game, hopefully this means he’s finally found his shooting boots. Benny had a quiet game.
The fullbacks and fornals were poor as much as you have to like fornals endeavour and love for the club he’s not a very good footballer and the two fullbacks pace is a massive problem.
When Johnson is back and hopefully Emerson can get a few games under his belt we’ll actually have a pretty decent team with most areas covered with decent back ups
The new lad had sone nice touches and although didn’t contribute much of note I was happy with the fact he didn’t mind getting stuck in whether he’s a success or not will depend on a lot of things but it doesn’t seem like being a complete pussy like Anderson will be one of them

Mex - I noticed that too. Paqueta wasn't afraid to mix it. Sends a message to all the cloggers who will be targeting him this season, fuck with me and I'm going to leave some on you too. Worth the odd yellow card in the first couple of games I reckon, just to put it out there.

And you just know he ain't going to be a stranger to the odd red either.

Should have won that. Lots of missed opportunities, disappointing that Fornals blasted over and Paqueta never even took the shot.
Good we were the best team, team can be pleased about how they played.
Very good to have Soucek and Rice back. Need Bowen to do the same, but they did hammer him and ref on the whole let it go. Fornals and Benrahma must do better. Paqueta does look the business, I liked his attitude as well, thats right, kick the fuckers back if they kick you. None of that going down nonsense.

What Tex said 5.02 👍
Oggie and Emerson between them put the brakes on the big headed cnut Richarlison.

The change in our play when Paqueta and Emerson came on was immediate, suddenly you felt we had control of the game, and I suspect Tottenham realised it too - they looked decidedly uncomfortable after that. For once I thought Moyes got the subs right, but as somebody noted, I'd have pulled Bowen and given Maxxy 10 or 15 minutes at the end to open them up a bit more.

Hopefully, once they've spent more time together, the players will buddy up, and the 'old boys' will feel less threatened by it all and see the merits of sharing the load. Massive potential if we can get it all ticking and buzzing.

Our potential is Top 6 this season…

As we will improve with all our signings available …barring serious injuries…

Rent Boys next…need to build on Spurs result and Scamatta Paqueta and other new signings

Serious question. Why does Moyes persist in putting 2 keepers on the bench?

Merry up for a friends birthday avoid the yauchatan at Liverpool Street station it’s pony and double dear and chink grubs pony anyway.

Great atmosphere maybe a tad unfortunate not to win but a huge improvement on the villa game.
Won’t happen overnight but we potentially have a very good side for once.

Would have settled for a point before the game and even more so after going one down, so will take that and don't have to suffer the gut wrenching feeling of losing to those cunts.

What I liked second half was seeing options from the bench, makes a world of difference. A few tweaks here and there and we are looking in good shape.

I’ve taken off my wet knickers and wanting Moyes out!!

Oggy back is great news, like a new signing. Paqueta gonna be class. Cresswell has seen better days, Emerson to start, Kehrer looks quality, Bowen better vs Spurs, hoping to see what Cornet can do as Benny has started the season well

All we need is Moyes to start picking the right fuckin team and we could be a bit useful. Emerson and Paqueta looked classy, think with Scamacca in the side and Bowen hitting some form again we could go on a bit of a run.

He’s deflecting! The silly cunt thinks it will cover up how outplayed they were practically all game.

As I said earlier they will get found out, they’re certainly nothing to fear.

They’re bang average and we will fancy our chances against them next time. We walked away psychologically stronger from that game.

Hopefully this sets them off on a run of poor performances, gonna love it when it all goes bandy for them.

Just seen his little rant. You have to expect he’s getting a hefty fine for saying that.

MOTD declined to show it but the Davies tackle on Bowen right in front of us was an absolute leg breaker when he went through the back of him.
Verry very lucky to get up from that.
The plank Bankes gave a yellow

Poor first half, thought we stood off them too much although most of their passing was across the half way line in front of us.
Only caused problems when we lost the ball and let them in such as for the goal.
Second half much better and we had 4 or 5 chances that could have gone in on another day.
As said Rice & Soucek much more like themselves.
Good start by Paqueta on no training. Good on the ball, lovely left foot & a bit of physicality. Certainly not a lightweight. Basically looks as smooth as an otter in a velvet suit.

Tottenham their usually cunty selves. Diving, play acting, time wasting & Conte topping it off by saying they shouldnt use VAR as they arent capable of seeing things on a screen. Obviously categorically wrong given the ball came off Cresswell's head.Stupid TOUPEE TWAT.

On to Chelsea. With Scamacca & Paqueta ready to play hopefully.

Have to say Spurs were there for the taking. They were pretty pedestrian and lacking in desire. Should have taken all the points. We lack sharpness in front of goal.

Benrahma was unlucky to be pulled and looked really pissed off. Would have taken a point before the game given our form but thought we were the better side. Wasn't a great performance by either side.
Biggest plus for me was some of the players showimg up with big performances. Soucek and Rice in particular were very good. Still plenty of issues with miscommunication and anticipation across the side but much better than it has been. I hope we can get it right against Chelsea who arent in great form themselves.

Much better 2nd half.. again .

We do start slow as fuck now

Really should have won it after another comical spurs implosion

Rice looked more like himself tonight, as did a few others. Notably the Czech boys and Bowen a bit more.

Absolutely delighted with Ogbonna coming back, bit of a bonus.

Considering Paqueta hasn’t even trained with them so far, it speaks volumes that a) Moyes brought him on and b) he had an instant impact on our performance.

Once Scamacca gets back, we may be a little bit useful.

Still loads to work on, but tonight was a big positive for me considering how we’ve performed over the few months.

Irons.
